Fastiq is a fasting and food-logging app. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have over your data.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Fastiq mobile application (the “App”) and this website. By using Fastiq, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information. If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address. We use a one-time email code to sign you in; we do not store a password.
- Health and fitness information. The profile and goals you enter — such as height, weight, age, sex, activity level, fasting schedule, logged meals, calories, macronutrients, and weight history.
- Food photos and images. Photos of meals, nutrition labels, and barcodes you submit so the App can estimate nutrition information.
Information collected automatically
- Purchase information. Whether you hold an active Fastiq Pro subscription. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Basic diagnostic and usage data. Limited technical information needed to operate the App, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.
How we use your information
- To provide core features: fasting timers, food logging, and progress tracking.
- To estimate calories and macros from the photos, labels, and barcodes you submit.
- To calculate personalized nutrition goals from the profile information you provide.
- To back up and sync your data across your devices when you sign in.
- To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
- To respond to support requests and keep the App secure and reliable.
AI processing of meals
When you use the AI logging features, the image or text you submit is sent through our secure server to our AI provider (Google, via the Gemini API) to generate nutrition estimates that are returned to you. This processing exists solely to provide the feature you requested. Nutrition values produced by AI are estimates and may not be accurate.
How your data is stored
Fastiq is designed to work primarily on your device. Your logs are stored locally. If you create an account, your data is also backed up to our cloud infrastructure (Supabase) so it can sync across your devices. Access to your synced data is restricted to your own account.
Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the App, and only as necessary to provide their service:
- Apple — app distribution and subscription payment processing.
- Supabase — authentication and encrypted cloud storage for account backup and sync.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement status.
- Google (Gemini API) — AI analysis of the meal images and text you submit.
These providers are bound by their own terms and are expected to protect your information consistent with this policy.
Data retention and deletion
You are in control of your data at all times. You can:
- Erase all datafrom within the App (Settings → Erase all data & start over) to clear your meals, fasts, weight, and goals.
- Delete your account from within the App (Settings → Delete account). This permanently removes your account and its associated data from our servers.
- Contact us at support@fastiq.fit to request deletion of your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls above or email us at support@fastiq.fit.
Children
Fastiq is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by the service providers listed above. Where required, we take steps to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
